It may sound niche but an association for mosquito control exists in the state and they’re having their annual meeting in our back yard at the Resort and Golf Club on the lake. This insect can be considered the “deadliest” animal on the planet due to the diseases it vectors and, even though many of the deadlier mosquito-borne illnesses like malaria are not present in Georgia, it should be controlled with care.

That said, the annual meeting will be held on Oct 16-18, 2019 with rates from $75-165.00 depending on days attended.

Quoting Dr. Elmer Gray, UGA Public Health Extension Specialist:

“We’ve got a great program scheduled with recertification credits available in several categories. Category 22, Animal Agriculture, will receive 2, Category 26, Aquatic, will receive 4, Category 31, Public Health, will receive 7, category 35, Industrial, Inst. , Struct., & Health Related, will receive 4 and Category 41, Mosquito Control, will receive 7. Private applicators can receive 4 credits.”
