Growing Georgia posted a story by Clint Thompson of UGA on the state of the peanut crop, which has suffered from drought in recent weeks. You can find the story by clicking here. Dr. Scott Monford noted that the crop could really use a good rain, and that insects have also caused some issues, but that the crop should still do well if it rains during the last half of the growing season.
