The latest Drought Monitor, released this morning, shows that two areas of abnormally dry conditions were added to Puerto Rico this week. In the mainland Southeast, Florida is currently the only state showing drought. Generally, the western part of the state improved but the East Coast got worse. Overall, the area of drought decreased, but a small area of D3 extreme drought was added to eastern Florida. Since Florida is likely to see quite a bit of rain in the next week, we are likely to see further improvements.
