The latest monthly outlook from NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center shows that the impacts of the fading La Nina can still be seen in the trend towards warmer conditions than normal, especially in the southern part of the region. The outlook for precipitation shows no tendency one way or the other. With the warmer conditions expected, drought is likely to increase in the Florida Peninsula over the next month.
