I am happy to hear that Congress has gotten its act together and voted for a continuing resolution to keep the government going for a few more months that also includes relief for our farmers, who were hit so hard by tropical weather and other disasters this year. It is also a relief for many of my friends who work for NOAA as meteorologists and climatologists who were not sure if they would be working for the next few weeks. Since NOAA also funds a significant part of the UGA Weather Network by purchasing our data to supplement their own network, it is also a reassurance to me that we will continue to be able to provide our data to Southeastern farmers and other users with no disruption.
