The American Climate Corps is a new government initiative to train workers to implement projects related to responding to climate change. I post it here because one of the initiatives is to work on projects that enhance agricultural systems to protect natural resources and conserve water during droughts. If this is something you would be interested in working on or if you have students who are interested in working on climate projects like this one, you can get more information at https://www.morningagclips.com/seven-federal-agencies-collaborate-to-implement-the-american-climate-corps/ or go directly to their website at https://www.whitehouse.gov/climatecorps/. There are a number of listening sessions that will be held in January 2024 to answer questions about the program. American Climate Corps members will gain the skills necessary to access good-paying jobs that are aligned with high-quality employment opportunities after they complete their paid training or service program.
