According to a recent story in Southeast Farm Press, Georgia’s pecan production is likely to be off by at least a third of what was expected due to effect of several weather events this growing season. The story highlighted a late-spring freeze that nipped buds and a tropical storm that ruined orchards, along with other environmental phenomena.
