NOAA released their latest monthly climate summary for September 2023 today, and it shows that while September alone was near normal in temperature, Florida set a new record for the year to date from January through September. Other states in the region were in the top seven. Precipitation across most of the region was lower than normal, but for the year to date, most areas were close to normal amounts, although Georgia and South Carolina were ranked above normal.
