The latest Drought Monitor, released today, shows that the drought conditions in Florida are improving after recent rains from TS Arlene and other storms. In most other areas of the region, abnormally dry patches have appeared or increased in area in the past week due to the lack of rain. I am starting to get emails and calls from farmers asking when it is going to rain again. There are no changes for Puerto Rico this week. Rain chances should improve somewhat in the next week except in Virginia and central Florida.
