Project Drawdown provides many practical solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions that are already available and financially viable. Since the best way to reduce the future impacts of climate change is to prevent greenhouse emissions from occurring in the first place, we can all use these solutions do our part. A number of these solutions are related to agriculture, including composting, conservation agriculture, nutrient management, and farm irrigation efficiency. Many of these are already in use here in the Southeast and scientists and extension agents are working on ways to improve how these techniques work. You can see the complete list of solutions here. Each solution has a linked page with more details about how it works.
