NOAA issued their winter forecast for the upcoming winter today. It shows that this will be another year with impacts related to the ongoing third year of La Nina, with warmer and drier than normal conditions expected across the southern part of the country as the jet stream and its associated storms is pushed to the north. Drought is expected to expand to cover most of Alabama and Georgia as well as the Florida Panhandle due to the dry conditions.
