The latest 7-day QPF map shows that large parts of the region will see almost no rain this week. The exceptions will be the Florida Peninsula and parts of North Carolina and Virginia. After a slightly cooler and less humid weekend with no rain, temperatures will climb into dangerous conditions by Tuesday for much of the area. Humidity will be lower, so overnight temperatures may be a bit cooler than last week, but daytime highs will be brutal and will set records in many places. Make sure you are protecting yourself from heat illness! Some showers will move back into parts of the region late in the week, but amounts won’t be great.

Rankings tell how often it has happened before–note large area of record max temps
