Seeing snow for the first time at 62: Brazilians revel in icy snap

Are you tired of reading stories about how hot it is, how hot it was, and how hot it’s going to be? You might enjoy this counter-programming story from Reuters about how a recent cold outbreak in Brazil (remember, parts of Brazil are in the Southern Hemisphere and are in winter right now) brought snow to some regions in the country that have never seen snow before. As you can expect, the local folks were out reveling in the snow, just like us Southerners would be. I have not seen any stories so far about negative impacts from the snow and the cold weather, so I hope that they are mostly just enjoying the novelty and not suffering from the cold conditions. The story has a video that shows people out having fun in the cold. Enjoy!
