The latest monthly outlook from NOAA’s Climate Prediction Center shows that wetter than normal conditions are likely to continue in August for all of the Southeast except the southern half of Florida. Temperature is mostly equal chances of near, above or below normal except for slight leans towards warmer than normal in southern Florida and the coasts of Virginia and North Carolina. The far western edge of Alabama leans slightly cool. The weekly maps show that next week should be warmer and drier than normal, with cooler and wetter than normal conditions expected in weeks 3-4.
