With temperatures rising and extreme heat becoming more common, outdoor workers are feeling the brunt of the worsening conditions more than those who can work inside in air conditioning. Heat stress puts a big toll on farm workers and other outdoor jobholders. Seasonal shifts in where crops grow can lead to uncertainty for migrant workers who may have to travel farther to find the crops they harvest. Allergies may also increase in the warmer climate.
