The latest 7-day QPF map shows that southern Georgia and Alabama and northern Florida are expected to get little to no rain this week, which will affect crop and pasture conditions there. Most of the rest of the region will get heavier rain, with isolated amounts in the mountains and off the coast of up to several inches. Most of the Carolinas, Virginia and southern Florida are expected to get around an inch. Hotter than normal weather is expected to last for most of the week before we get some relief next weekend. The tropics should remain quiet for the next week.
