The latest Drought Monitor, released today, shows that the area of moderate drought that was recently introduced to Florida has expanded along the East Coast and now covers almost 10% of the state. Drought in Georgia and South Carolina receded slightly or stayed constant. Seasonal rain in the next week should keep the drought from expanding further in next week’s DM.
