The USDA’s Southeast Regional Climate Hub is in the process of developing a manual that will help land owners deal with preparations for and recovery from hurricanes. The manual will be based on input from a recent workshop that I attended last week in Gainesville FL and will feature checklists and lists of resources that may be useful to farmers, foresters, and livestock producers in the region. You can read more about it in Vegetable and Specialty Crop News at https://vscnews.com/southeast-climate-hub-developing-hurricane-manual-for-landowners/. I will post a blog article once the manual is available, but it will be several months before it is available.
