You’ve seen posts here and read in other places the effects of the wildfires that have caused devastation in Gatlinburg TN and in other places around the Southeast US.  But did you know that a similar situation is occurring in Israel as well?  Fires there were threatening Haifa, Israel’s third largest city and over 60,000 people were evacuated.  The fires there, like here, were caused by combination of extremely dry conditions and high winds and sparked by a combination of natural causes and arson.  Fortunately, due to massive help from international partners and improving weather, the fires there are mostly under control.  You can read more about it at Viewpoint Israel here.
