Dr. Brenda Ortiz of Auburn University announced today the release of a new iBook on climate and crops in the Southeast.  I don’t have the iBook app downloaded on my smartphone and tablet yet, but when I do I will be sure to get a copy of this new book.  I am still looking to see if and how you can view this on Android devices as well as Apple.  Here is what Brenda says about the project:

I want to let you know the iBook “Climate and Crops” is available on iBooks. For more than two years we have been working on this project and today we have the final product. I still remember the first meeting we had with the Peanut Extension specialists in January 2014 to discuss about the iBook and collect information, or the first video we recorded with Bob Kemerait. There has been numerous people that have contributed to the iBook “Climate and Crops – Adapting to a Variable Climate”. I want to thank everyone that contributed either with content, picture or just suggestions. Now, the next step is to let our farmers, consultants and extension agents know that this iBook is for them and is a good resource to cope with climate variability in the Southeast.
