The NWS office in Peachtree City announced today on their Facebook page that they will start producing their spring frost warnings for frost earlier than usual this year.  The spring so far has been unusually warm and many plants, including fruit trees and other crops, have started blooming earlier than normal, making the vulnerable to freezing temperatures.  Here is an infographic they put out to explain it.

Meanwhile, fruit farmers in Michigan are breathing a sigh of relief as colder temperatures return, helping to keep the plants dormant. You can read about this at https://www.mlive.com/weather/index.ssf/2016/03/cold_air_coming_how_will_this.html.
