I rely on reports from extension agents around the Southeast to help me understand how climate is impacting agricultural conditions “on the ground”. One of the blogs that I find most useful is the Seminole Crop E News by Rome Ethredge down in the southwest part of Georgia. Rome is approaching retirement, and Allison Floyd of Growing Georgia had a very nice article about the work that he’s done over the last 27 years. You can read it here. I will miss his input but wish him the best as he moves on to new things.
