Heavy rain is expected to extend in a band across most of Alabama and northern Georgia for this weekend and Monday.  Rain is starting to enter Alabama on Saturday morning, but should hold off for Georgia until after Halloween festivities (unless you party really late!).  The rain is expected to be heavy at times and isolated areas could receive over 5 inches.  There is some uncertainty in the forecast models about exactly where the band of the heaviest rain will fall, so I have included the official NWS forecast instead of the QPF map this week.  The Florida peninsula should stay fairly dry this weekend.

After this storm system moves through, Tuesday through Friday look to be mostly dry except in central Florida where a bit more rain is expected.

Don’t forget to change your clocks back one hour tonight for Daylight Saving Time!
