This week is National Environmental Education Week, and there are a number of activities which you can participate in.  One of the ones that sounds the most interesting is the Photo Mission to provide photos of resources that can be found on public lands around the country.  You can read about the mission, the theme for each day, and the prizes that will be offered at https://eeweek.org/noah-mission.

Longer-term, if you enjoy watching the changing seasons and the movement of birds, the growth of plants, or other signs of spring, then you might be interested in joining the National Phenological Society, www.usanpn.org.  This group keeps track of observations like the occurrence of the first robin in spring at locations around the country and sees how they change over time.  Many states also have their own state societies.
