I’m pleased to announce that there is a new web site for Georgia Climate available at https://www.gaclimate.org. When you visit, you will notice that this blog has a prominent place on the top of the home page. Inside the web site you will find a variety of information on Georgia climate and a number of places to find weather and climate data as well as links to sites like AgroClimate.org. AgroClimate has a variety of agriculture-related tools that show the relationship between El Nino phase and crop yields as well as providing some real-time calculations for specific insect pests and diseases. Current weather from the University of Georgia’s weather network is featured prominently.
If you notice problems with the web site or would like to make suggestions for things to add, please feel free to contact me by commenting on this blog posting. Or you can email me at pknox “at” uga.edu.
