The Animal Agriculture Climate Change blog has posted a new entry describing a presentation by Dr. Marty Matlock from the University of Arkansas in Munich recently.  In the presentation Dr. Matlock discusses the need to feed the world in 2050 (not that far in the future!).  He then added the requirement of sustainably achieving this goal with sustainability defined as “Meeting the needs of the present while improving the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.” He gave the example of  “leaving a little more organic matter in the soil than when you started farming it.”   You can read the full entry at https://animalagclimatechange.org/allinthistogether/.

Dr. Matlock will be one of the featured speakers at the Waste to Worth Conference in Seattle from March 30 to April 3, 2015, which is sponsored by one of the groups that supports the CASE blog.
