Program Descriptions:

May 22/Teen Leader Training/$20

Leadership program for 4-H’ers in 7th – 12th grades.  Certified teen leaders can assist and lead in county clubs and other district and state activities.  Program will be delivered in combination with another county and will be held at the Glynn County 4-H office.  Transportation will be provided. Participants need to be dropped off at our office in Woodbine by 8:30 am, and picked up at the same location at 4:00 pm.  Fees include official name tag and lunch.

May 25/Fishing Day/$10

We will be traveling to DNR Coastal Resources Division in Brunswick to learn about our Georgia coast and marine life, as well as learn to rig a pole and catch some amazing fish (and sometimes other cool marine species!).  All participants will receive a fishing pole from DNR.  This program is for 4-H’ers in 5th-12th grades.  Participants will need to bring: plenty of water/refillable water bottle, lunch and snacks, sunscreen, and bug spray.  Hat and sunglasses also recommended.  Participants must wear close toed shoes and clothes appropriate for the weather and active pace. Plan on arriving at the Woodbine office at 8:30 am, and picking up at 4 pm.  Space is limited to 9 participants.  Event is dependent on weather.

June 1/Cooking and Art Day/$10

Full day program for 4-H’ers in 5th-12th grades.  We will be cooking 2-3 recipes and creating art.  Plan on arriving at the Woodbine office at 8:30 am, and picking up at 4 pm.  Lunch is included.  Space is limited to 12 participants.

June 6/Summer Waves Trip/$30

Join us for a fun day at Summer Waves.  We will be joining several other 4-H county groups at Summer Waves for a day of fun in the sun!  Plan to arrive at our office at 9:30 am and pick up at 4:30 pm.  Participants will need: money for lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, towel, and all items must be kept together in some type of bag. Space is limited to 14 participants.  Event is dependent on weather.

June 9/Rockets and STEM Day/$10

Full day program for 4-H’ers in 5th-12th grades.  We will be building and launching model rockets, and have several other fun games and STEM activities planned.  Plan on arriving at the Woodbine office at 8:30 am, and picking up at 4 pm.  Participants will need to wear close-toed shoes, and bring lunch and plenty of water.  Space is limited to 12 participants.  Activities may be modified for weather.

July 26/Ichetucknee Trip/$30

Details TBD.  This trip is for 4-H’ers in 7th-12th grades only.
