Beware of Unsolicited Packages of Seeds

The Georgia Department of Agriculture (GDA) is aware that many Georgia residents have received unsolicited packages containing seeds. The packages appear to have originated from China. If someone has received a similar package, he/she is strongly urged not to open the package, not to plant the seeds, and not to discard the seeds.

Contact the GDA Seed Lab in Tifton at 229-386-3145 or email at SeedLab@agr.georgia.gov for instructions. The seeds and packaging can be mailed to the GDA Seed Lab or they can be sealed up and taken to the local County Extension Office. If one has questions or needs local assistance, please contact us and we will be glad to help at the Worth County Extension Office.
