Dr. Lenny Wells has some good information on leaf scorch and water usage for pecans right now. Some of the questions we have been getting about leaf scorch has turned out to be anthracnose. Dr. Wells has some good pictures on his blog to show the difference. Natural senescence has been spotted over the last few weeks. This dry weather has really taken a toll on pecans. You should have been watering at full capacity to fill the kernels. If your pecans are at full kernel you can back your water to 50-60% capacity but do not cut it off completely.
