Summer is just around the corner, and Tattnall County 4-H is excited to offer a variety of unforgettable summer camp opportunities for youth in 2026. From beach adventures to classic camp traditions, there’s truly something for everyone.

Youth in 4th–6th grade can attend Cloverleaf 4-H Camp at the Jekyll Island 4-H Center from June 22–26, 2026. This week is designed especially for younger campers to experience independence, teamwork, and fun in a supportive environment. They will enjoy opportunities such as bike rides across the island, a trip to Summer Waves, walks in the maritime forest, and lots of opportunities to visit the beach. Classes are called “voyages” and engage youth in hands-on learning about topics such as beach ecology, marsh ecology, and sane net fishing. There are 45 spaces available for this camp, but they may fill up quickly so it is always best to try to sign up for spots as soon as possible.

For 7th–8th graders, Junior Beach Camp will be held at the Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island from June 8–12, 2026. Campers will enjoy the excitement of the coast while building friendships and leadership skills. We have a limited number of spaces for youth to attend this camp, so make plans to sign up as soon as registration opens if your child is interested in attending. This will be our only camp opportunity offered for 7th-8th grade year during summer of 2026. Spaces for Junior Beach Camp limited and will fill up very quickly—sometimes less than 30 minutes! We encourage you to register for this camp as soon as possible after camp registration opens.

High school students in 9th–12th grade have two exciting options. Senior Extreme Camp takes place at Rock Eagle 4-H Center in Eatonton from June 2–6. This camp is a rugged outdoor experience that includes camping in tents all week, fishing, shooting sports, and other fun outdoor opportunities. Senior Beach Camp will be held at Camp Jekyll Center on Jekyll Island from June 29–July 3, 2026. At Senior Beach Camp, high school students will enjoy many of the same classes as our Cloverleafs, with added difficulty and depth to keep the older age group engaged. Both camps offer unique experiences designed to challenge teens, grow confidence, and create lifelong memories. These camps are filled first come, first served on a statewide basis. Priority deadline to  register for these camps is February 23rd!

Cost, Registration, and Important Dates

Each camp costs $450, and spaces are limited—some camps have as few as 12 spots available. Registration opens Saturday, February 14 at 8:00 a.m. through the Extension Online Registration system and is available on a first-come, first-served basis statewide. A non-refundable $150 deposit is required at registration for all students to GAURANTEE their space. A deposit is not required to apply for a scholarship; however, we cannot save spots for scholarship applicants who do not register during the registration period. Priority registration period for camp will close on February 23rd, so please make your best efforts to register your child online by this date.

Scholarships and Fundraising Opportunities

Tattnall County 4-H understands that camp is an investment. A limited number of partial scholarships (up to $300) are available, with applications due by February 14. In addition, youth who register for camp by March 1 will have the opportunity to participate in a Krispy Kreme fundraiser in March to help offset costs.
