Cotton harvest is upon us so I thought I would share some cotton defoliation info. Check out this detailed circular:

To summarize; cotton should be defoliated when it reaches 60% to 75% open bolls. There are 4 ore less NACB (nodes above upper most cracked boll). And bolls you plan to harvest in the top string when cut cross way with a sharp knife. As temperatures cool there will be a need to change defoliation chemicals and rates.
