Georgia 4-H is hosting the annual high school event titled Fall Forum! This event focuses on bringing youth together from across the state to create connections through engaging workshops, community services, and recreational activities. Installation staff and military families can connect with their local 4-H Extension staff to register. In many cases, County 4-H programs provide transportation to and from Rock Eagle making this statewide 4-H easier on families.

IDEA MOMENT FOR MILITARY STAFF

There are teen leadership opportunities that include preparing and leading a community service project and teaching workshops for other teens. Consider one of the following:

  1. Promote this leadership opportunity to teens to apply for and prepare individually. This pre-activity to Fall Forum promotes leadership, creativity, and management skills.
  2. Create a structured time for members to create a community service project to implement at Fall Forum. Have members prepare a presentation for feedback. Then support each member with filling out the 4-H application. This pre-activity to Fall Forum promotes leadership, creativity, public speaking, and management skills.
