A great way to get youth connected with the statewide 4-H program is by promoting and hosting a 4-H Holiday Card drawing activity. This activity is FREE. Grab some markers, paint, charcoal, paper, or other materials along with some fun music, and allow youth to get creative!

Consider using this as an extension activity for your Introduction to 4-H lesson by having youth reflect on the colors of 4-H, the motto of 4-H, and the activities offered. This activity can be a great debrief while allowing creative time too. Additionally, you could create an Art Club and use at least 6 4-H lessons from an arts and craft curriculum. The 4-H Holiday Card Contest can be the culminating activity to showcase the skills learned.

All entries are due by October 3rd.

Holiday cards are sent out in December to volunteers, legislators, Georgia 4-H supporters, and staff.

The above form can be downloaded and printed to use for leading the activity and is required for submitting the art entries. Be sure to review the form before conducting the activity.

Below is a flyer to use to promote the activity.
