Youth Professionals:

Please share on your social media sites, newsletters, and with elegiable youth in meetings about the fully funded club. 14-18-year-old military dependents can become prepared public speakers through the 4-H Military Resilient Speakers virtual club. Teens can “pick up the mic” to celebrate their resiliency. This club is a great way to build skills that youth can use in school, in clubs, and in their future careers. More importantly, we will spend time reflecting together about being a military-dependent teen with others who have shared experiences. Contact Laura Goss at laurwalt@uga.edu to learn more or register members here.

Parents:

If you have a teen who is 14-18-year-old(s) we encourage you to have them attend this 6-week commitment (6-hours). The public speaking lessons are researched based and created by The Ohio State University along with additional 4-H Miltiary Partnership handouts. Addiotnally, planned a face-to-face showcase for the members to practice their skills at Dobbins Air Reserve Base. We udnerstand teens have several commitment and hope that this hybrid model allows youth balance (less commute time) and still builds connection with other military teens (virtually and face-to-face).
