Cornell University’s Civic Ecology Lab is offering an online is offering an E-STEM Education (environment-science-technology-engineering-math) course this fall: October 19 – November 22, 2020.  According to their promotional materials, E-STEM Education is designed for teachers and nonformal educators who want to help youth become scientifically literate, environmental citizens. Teachers will learn how to integrate environmental education into STEM classes such as biology and earth science, and non-formal educators will learn how to make science part of nature and environmental education programs. You will also learn about inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, and other active learning pedagogies, and apply what you learn to develop your own E-STEM lesson plans.  The cost for the course is $60.  I’ve participated in multiple courses offered by the Civic Ecology Lab, and I believe they were well-worth the fees and time investment.  Register for the course here

Consider taking advantage of this high-quality professional development opportunity at a reasonable price; I hope to “see” you there!
