On behalf of the CYFAR 4-H Military Partnership Professional Development and Technical Assistance Project, we are pleased to kickoff a series of webinars for staff and volunteers working with military-connected youth. Please help us spread the word through your contacts and communities.  Included are the front/back flyer for the first offerings and social media posts for each of the webinars.

We are offering the following upcoming webinars

React, Respond or Refer:  Guidance for How to Handle Difficult Dialogues, Wednesday, June 25, 1 p.m. EST
We have all been in those situations when a child or a teenager approaches us with an uncomfortable question or a difficult topic…and these situations may cause us discomfort as we may not be sure about how to best respond.  This webinar provides strategies for how to react, both verbally and non-verbally, in ways that lead to a healthier dialogue.  Guidelines for how to know when to refer to a more appropriate and better informed resource will also be provided.
Registration is available at go.ncsu.edu/rrr-6-25

4-H Virtual Camp: Experiences, Lessons, and Future Implications, Wednesday, July 15, 1 p.m. EST

With the cancellation of face-to-face summer 4-H camps in 2020 due to COVID-19, quickly shifting to a virtual camp experience provided an opportunity to still connect youth with camp and others through the creative use of technology.  In addition to fulfilling the mission of serving our youth, it also allowed us to reach new audiences and youth who did not previously have any connection to 4-H.  Learn from the North Carolina State 4-H Camping Team on their experiences with their first virtual camp     Registration is available at go.ncsu.edu/vc-7-15
