From Keri Hobbs: 4-H Specialist for Volunteer Development, UGA Extension-Georgia 4-H

Georgia 4-H partners with Mississippi State to offer youth the MyPI (My Preparedness Initiative) program.  We have staff and volunteer MyPI instructors in Bryan, Dougherty, Gordon, Haralson, Jackson, Morgan, Turner, and Wilcox Counties.  The MyPI program targets teens.

I’m extremely excited to share with you that the National MyPI team now has a program for 10-12-year-olds called “Ready In the Middle!”  Even more exciting is that you can gain the certification virtually!  Find the information from Dr. Ryan Akers of Mississippi State University below and mark your calendars for May 26th at 3 p.m. to become a certified instructor!  Please feel free to share with volunteers, front line staff, and those who could benefit from this training.

If you or a staff member registers, will you also let me know here with your name, email address, and county so I can further share materials that are specific to this area of interest and coordinate our Georgia efforts.  (Again, the link to show me your interest is here: https://ugeorgia.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eA1lIxSGzDUPHil)

To learn more about MyPI and to watch a video from youth who completed the MyPI course check out Mississippi’s website.

I hope you can join us for this great certification program!
