Houston County 4-H and Warner Robins Air Force Base have collaborated to plan an outstanding program for Air Force teens in grades 9th – 12th. The camp will take place over 3 days and youth will travel the state to learn about educational possibilities available to them. Youth will experience what it is like to be a college student through visiting several colleges, eating at the UGA dining hall, and staying on campus! Youth will also learn valuable leadership skills from the University of Georgia’s J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development.

The camp fees are covered in full including transportation, food, lodging, and activities. The 4-H/Air Force Camping program is supported by the US Department of Agriculture, National Institute of Food and Agriculture, 4-H National Headquarters, U.S. Air Force Child and Youth Programs, and the University of Georiga Cooperative Extension 4-H Program through grant funding at Kansas State University under special project number 2018-48661-28954.

Youth need to apply in order to attend. Applications can be emailed to Sam Price at samprice@uga.edu. Please note that if camp spots are not filled by Air Force teens other military branch dependents will be considered. If you have questions about the camp or the application contact Sam Price. Please share this opportunity out to your military families and feel free to post the flyer on your FB pages.
