We have been encouraging you to attend this on-site turfgrass education at the UGA Griffin campus in the research plots and surrounding facilities, and today was the day! Master Gardeners, homeowners, and Extension agents, commercial lawncare professionals, and golf and sports field professionals followed tracks of presentations tailored to their areas of expertise as they visited seven outdoor research sites. They ducked indoors in the AC for the afternoon for more in-depth sessions. During these field visits and presentations, UGA researchers and Extension specialists shared about turfgrass diseases, insects, weed management, innovations in robotic mowing, breeding, irrigation and much more. This field day brings hundreds of attendees to campus, and staff and faculty from all over the state come together to coordinate a well rounded program for all who attend. If you missed the fun this year, look for information on the next field day in 2028! Master Gardeners who attend this event receive Advanced Credit in MGLOG, which is entered by the State Program Office.
