Resources for GA MGEVs

National Volunteer Week officially kicks off today, and we’re pretty excited! For an entire week, we get to give extra attention to the fantastic accomplishments of each you in your county MGEV programs.

This year, since we can’t celebrate in person, we have a virtual celebration packed with pictures, stories, shout-outs, and way-to-goes. I hope you’ll check out our MGEV Program Facebook page and our Instagram account EVERY DAY, starting today and running through next Saturday. You might just recognize a face or two!

You may even want to join in the fray! Here’s a look at some of the conversations that we are having. Feel free to comment on our posts or contribute to those on your county’s pages. If you post to your pages, please use the #gamgev or other suggested hashtags so that we can find your posts.

    • Show your spirit for volunteerism by wearing your favorite Extension or MGEV swag and sharing a photo with #HeroInGreen. Post these photos and tag us! #gamgev
  • THURSDAY, April 23 — Throwback Thursday (#TBT)
    • What is your favorite memory as an MGEV? Share how you have grown your community through your MGEV projects!
    • Got a picture of an old shirt, project photo, original certificate or name tag? Be sure to post and tag! #TBT #gamgev
  • FRIDAY, April 24 — I am iNSPiRED by…
    • Tell us about that gardener, plant, or garden that has iNSPiRED you!
  • SATURDAY, April 25 — Salute to Excellence
