Here is the message in a text I received Friday froman outstanding consultant and true friend to Extension: “Southern rust skates by undetected for another week. Not because we haven’t been looking for it… we’ve walked 17k acres of corn in 3 states this week. Saw about every foliar corn disease commonly found around here, except for Southern rust. A small victory for corn growers nonetheless.”
