GACAA members had a first busy day in Little Rock. Many of us spent the day attending National committee chair and vice chair workshops, State officers workshop and visiting with vendors at the trade show. Vice President Elect Brian Cresswell had the honor of walking across the stage presenting our Georgia State flag during the opening ceremony. Walt Coleman, NFL referee and long time dairy farmer gave us a inspirational talk about his career and making unpopular calls in the game. Mr. Coleman talked about how some times we encounter negative people at our jobs who may not like what we are doing. He encouraged us to stick to our mission and referee a fair game. He also talked about what a team meant to him. A team is Together Everyone Accomplishes More.
In Georgia, we know how to work as a team. We kicked the week off last night by pitching in and helping our teammate Wes Smith run for NACAA treasurer. We hosted a hospitality room providing food and refreshments and encouraging delegates to vote for Wes. We appreciate Wes’s willingness to step up for another year and be a leader in our National Association.
