Summer will be here before we know it, and the Forsyth County 4-H staff is busy planning exciting, educational day camps for local youth. This year, the local Extension office will offer a series of unforgettable day camps that span across North Georgia. Students will have the opportunity to explore lots of thrilling locations, from the University of Georgia’s campus in Athens to the rivers of Dahlonega. Designed for K-12 students, these unique experiences are more than just fun. They aim to help youth discover their “spark”. In 4-H, a spark is a passion, interest, or skill that gives a young person energy, joy, and purpose. Helping youth find their spark can help lead to increased leadership opportunities, higher community service participation, and greater intentionality.
