This week has been a great time of reflection and wrapping up all of my projects and assignments. Unfortunately, I was not able to attend the intern graduation, but I heard that it was great and ELT members really enjoyed meeting all the interns and hearing about their experience and aspirations. I was really disappointed because I put a lot of effort in preparing for the event, but I am happy to hear it was a success.
This week I have updated the intern tracker for past and graduating interns. I have also been working to organize and evaluate this summer’s program. I am very thankful to the interns, supervisors, and Extension staff that participated in the internship this summer! It has been a pleasure working with everyone and seeing the implementation of new ideas and processes.
We have discussed using my tracker to keep in contact with graduating interns which I am excited to hear because it means that my project will be implemented even after my internship is complete. I hope that this tracker is only the beginning of a system to continue engaging state interns after they have completed their summer internship.
