Spending this final week with Extension has flown by far too quickly! I started off the week by attending an informative event at the Cobb County Civic Center representing the Cobb County Extension Office with three other Master Gardeners. I had the opportunity to give a short synopsis on what the Extension Office is in front of the audience that attended. On Monday I visited the wellness garden, watered the extension office garden, and got to garden with the Family Garden Club at the North Cobb Regional Library. I also got to present about xeriscaping with native trees and shrubs to the Family Garden club at the North Cobb Regional Library after gardening with them. On Tuesday, I helped 4-H load and set up the bike blender at Cobb County National Night Out and pass out flyers informing the public of what Extension is about. For Wednesday, I tended the Extension garden and helped Ranae put up two posters to further promote the master gardeners. On Thursday, the office held an office lunch to celebrate me completing the internship and heading off to college to finish my degree. It has truly been a treat working with these wonderful people. Each and everyone of them are a gem in this office and they make this office feel more like a home full of friendships. I am so grateful to have worked within Extension and I look forward to the positive impacts this program will continue to have on the community.
