The next rain system is moving through the Southeast this weekend, bringing wet conditions to most of the region.  Once this system moves past, much colder air should blow back into the region by midweek.  In some areas low temperatures will reach the teens and highs may not even reach the freezing point, so if you have animals outside that are susceptible to cold, watch them carefully and take necessary precautions for their comfort.  The next chance of rain (or possible some frozen precipitation if the cold air lingers) should be next weekend.  Here is a link to a good discussion by The Weather Channel.
