The climate of the future is still uncertain, in no small part due to uncertainties in how humans will behave with respect to emissions of carbon dioxide, changes in land use over time, and big questions about how the ocean will respond to changes in atmospheric composition and weather patterns. But if you like to think about the future and how it could affect your farm or town, you might find the NOAA Climate Explorer useful. This tool has been recently described in Business Insider here as a way of thinking about how things might change in your area as the climate warms up in the coming decades. As they note, using the slider to go between two scenarios gives you an excellent comparison between different possible scenarios.
