As I sit here at home on Sunday night, I can hear heavy rain falling outside my window. If you live in Alabama or western Georgia, you saw a lot of rain earlier today, and as of tonight it is now moving into the Carolinas and Virginia. Overnight and during the day on Monday, this line of heavy storms will be gradually moving off to the east, dropping a lot of rain on Florida, eastern Georgia and the rest of the Carolinas and Virginia. By early Tuesday morning the rain should just be exiting the southeast corner of Georgia and continuing to move off to the east. After that we get a few days of cool and dry conditions before another storm drops lighter amounts of rain Thursday night into Friday morning. The heaviest rain from that storm will be in the northern parts of our region. I am hopeful that the rain will wash a lot of pollen out of the air, but it will likely start to return later in the week as conditions dry out and warm up.
