The latest 7-day QPF map shows that there will not be a lot of rain this week in most of the region. On Wednesday a coastal low will bring some rain to parts of eastern Georgia and South Carolina, but most of the rain will occur offshore. Rain will also occur in the Ohio River Valley, bringing some rain to Virginia and North Carolina. Later in the week another storm will bring more rain to Virginia and NC, but it will largely bypass the rest of the region. The dry pattern should continue into Week 2 before rain chances improve. Rain has a higher chance of occurring in weeks 3 and 4. Temperatures are likely to be warmer than usual over the next month.
