So far this October 2025, very little rain has fallen in most of the Southeast. The only real exception is some tropical rain along the Florida East Coast and South Carolina. The rest of the region has been left mostly high and dry with the area of 50% or less than normal rainfall covering a significant amount of the region. Temperatures have been generally a little above normal except along the East Coast, where more clouds and rain led to cooler than normal conditions. Fortunately, it looks like rain will return to the region before the end of October, so we may expect some relief from the dry conditions, although it may be too late for the farmers at that point.
